Acalanes Senior Ball
I am writing to highly recommend any individual or group who might be considering Raks A'Diva to belly dance at an event. The Acalanes High School hired Raks A'Diva to entertain 350 Senior Ball attendees on May 31, 2007 at the Regency Center in San Francisco. They captured the interest of the high school seniors, which is no small order. This troupe enjoys performing, of course, but they are also excellent at getting their audience inspired to learn some of the movements.
We, on the entertainment committee for the Acalanes Senior Ball, admired the professionalism with which Raks A'Diva navigated a program that fit our time perameters, stage logistics, music choices, you name it. Iman, one of the lead dancers of the group, was the contact person. She provided a schedule that delineated the music, movements and timing for the first 15 minute segment as well as the small group instruction that was offered soon after their performance.
All in all, working with Raks A'Diva was are rewarding experience. The Acalanes Parents Club, as well as the Senior students, had a positive experience as a result of hiring this delightful belly dancing group for a momentous event.
